Kashima Antlers Nike Home Kit 2011
Kashima Antlers FC is a Japanese club in the top division in the country’s football system, the J League Division 1. The club ranked 4th in the 2010 table and has now unveiled the new home shirt for the 2011 campaign. The shirt, as can be seen in the picture below, is manufactured by Nike and sponsored by Lixil. The shirt has a red base colour with a navy blue round-neck collar, and navy blue sleeve hems. The shirt has a graphic of antlers of a deer, deriving from the name Kashima which means deer island. Red shorts with navy blue stripes on the sides, and red socks, complement this shirt.
The club is one of the five clubs that has always participated in the top Japanese league since its inception in 1947. They play their home games at 40728-capacity Kashima Soccer Stadium, and are arguably the most successful team in Japan. They have won the J League, the top domestic league in the country, a total of 7 times, including three times in a row between 2007 and 2009. Also added to their list of honours are the Emperor’s Cup four times, the J League Cup 3 times and the Xerox Super Cup 5 times, amongst others. They are the holders of the Emperor’s Cup as they won this prestigious tournament in 2010.
